Server Systems Infrastructure is the fusion of the physical and virtual floor-plans of the network, applications, services and data. In today's world people want everything right away; and so do our customers, vendors, partners and shareholders. Business transactions no longer take place in the conference room, on the golf course, or even at a bistro table with a cold beer and a warm corned-beef on rye. They take place in the data-center.
Don't misunderstand, we recognize that it's still crucial for business people to meet on the golf course and over lunch to maintain a good rapport. That will always remain an important part of every worthwhile business relationship. However, the formal communication of ideas and actual business transactions occur in the data center; amidst stacks of equipment strung together by miles of cables in a climate controlled room with an ever-present hum of fans and disks that would hardly catch your attention if it weren't for the flashing LED's and the occasional beep.
